"Sylk Magazine" Feature . .

Besides having worked at some of the local papers here in NYC, my writing has been featured in, "Sylk ", a men's magazine - for a few articles, one of them being THIS

"Discovered: FIRST Descent(s) Man FOUND!" by Sindy Ng

YES! YOU're reading correctly, I've made the discovery of finding the First Descent(s) Man . . . and am just barely calm enough to write THIS.

I am of course writing of and about Professional Athelete, Cosmopolitan Magazine's HOTTEST Bachelor WINNER/ Model, Philanthropist, AND Founder of the non profit, First Descents,  Brad Ludden.

W-o-W!!! - WHERE AND HOW do I even start from THAT?! . . . Well, I suppose for starters, I am positive that E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E's heard of and/or about Brad Ludden and First Descents at some point or another by now - so, THIS article is just to enlighten and familiarize the minute populace who hasn't as of yet,  and second, well, I will gladly make it known that - YES! - indeed THIS article will be a (wee) bit on the bias . . . I'm part Fan and definitely hope that am considered friend as well . . . but E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G TRUE!

Brad Ludden, 28 years young, with a plethora of titles, accomplishments and even many more accolades, which well deservedly earned, is indeed EVERY sense of it A-L-L!

Beautifully chiseled from head to toe, he is indeed the model epic hero we had all grown up reading about, believing in and wanting to be. The iconic persona that E-V-E-R-Y man idolizes, wishes - wants to be . . . and definitely! can be found in E-V-E-R-Y woman's fantasies. His character and integrity is definitely an achievement in itself and a litmus for us A-L-L. He takes on E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G valorously and gallantly, and in hero form is also graceful, humble and just W-A-Y too modest.

In all seriousness though, Brad can be found E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E,  AND doing
E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G! He's the guy going over Niagra Falls in a barrel,  . . .  ok, well, his kayak for definite, he scales mountains faster than a speeding bullet and YES!, he flies too (don't ALL superheroes?!) AND all while battling the world of it's biggest nemesis: Cancer.

Brad Ludden doesn't have cancer but our hero's journey began at the young age of 13 after learning of his Aunt's diagnosis and bout with Breast Cancer and saw how that deeply effected his Mom and no doubt the rest of his family as well . . . and in the midst of probably the most arduous period of their lives, his Mom volunteered herself at a local pediatric oncology camp and asked if Brad would like to join her. Brad of course did and brought with him the only thing he thought he could contribute - his kayak. An empowering day, moments that he'll always remember, that have forever changed and shape our hero today - the catalyst that brought forth First Descents by the time Brad turned 20, with the help of Nike and The Vail valley Chamber and Tourism Bureau, to name a couple of his partners.

First Descents is a non profit which is passionately committed to and provides free kayaking and other outdoor adventures in a safe, fun and supportive environment to promote emotional, psychological and physical healing and empowerment for over 500+ young adults battling cancer to date . . . and as of this year will be hosting a 9 week program in six different states.
