Q: Tell us something about Mei Ching Yau - the person and the entrepreneur . . please introduce us
Mei Ching: I grew up in Hong Kong and spent the past 5 years in the US to finish school.
I'm just a very spontaneous person who likes to think outside of the box . . and have been and am passionate about fashion and beauty.
Q: Tell us more about your store/ business - the beginnings, how it ALL started, what you sell, how is your business doing -?
Mei Ching: The growth of my business has been slow but steady and am selling solely on Amazon AND am working/planning to launch my webstore next month. I've been and am selling small tech gadgets - the kind that makes daily life just a little bit easier. *stay tune for (a) product(s) review(s) :)
Q: What are your short/ long term goals - for yourself and your growing business?
Mei Ching: My short term goal is blogging/ posting as often as possible.
My long term is to become a millionaire before I turn 30 and achieve financial freedom. I know that life doesn't always go as we wish/hope, but I believe in and will listen to and follow my heart and go after whatever opportunities that are presented and live everyday as it were my last.
Q: What, Who inspires you? What are some of your credits? Where does your creativity stem from?
Mei Ching: Marie Forleo - she is MY inspiration, I enjoy watching her videos, getting perspective AND tips from THIS female entrepreneur . . she's living the life that I want. As for MY creativity, that comes from the people around me as well as the Youtube community
Q: Is there any advice for your followers - especially to the ones who want to be / live exactly like you
Mei Ching: To ME, action speaks lounder than words. If you want to do something, then just do it. Do not try to be someone else, just be yourself. We need to learn to accept our imperfections and focus on our strengths, as we're all unique and special . . just let your own inner light shine.
Q: Give us a tour of YOUR background and where you've been? grown up? where you would like to be/ go?
Mei Ching: So far Hong Kong, China and the US. At some point in the future would love to become a Flight Attendant and travel around the world.
Q: Outside of work, what do you like to do? recreation? hobbies? (sports, paint, etc.)
Mei Ching: I like to go to the gym with my Boyfriend and work out. I believe that couples who work out together will stay together .. otherwise I'm online deal hunting
Q: Divulge a secret(s)/ wish(es) (*ONLY what you want anyone to know of course)
Mei Ching: I've got freckles
Q: If there was one inspirational figure - in art, history, business, etc. - from either living or dead - that you can meet, get to know - who would that be? what would you do - say? How would you then pass it on?
Mei Ching: I can't think of any history figure. BUT would LOVE to meet Nick Vujicic AND Lizzie Velásquez - THEY are THE epitome of inspiration - as well as the people around me as I adore them. I like seeing the beauty from inside people around us and learn from them.
Q: Are there ANY misconceptions about you that you would like to clear up
Mei Ching: I'm (full) Chinese - as oppose to ALWAYS being mistaken for being Korean, and there's nothing wrong with that, just that I'm not
